Research
The museum's archives of historic and educational materials includes photographs, manuscripts, journals, books, city directories, and limited newspaper information. These materials are available on a restricted basis to interested patrons. However, the museum has no regular research or library staff. Research appointments must be scheduled in advance of a planned visit to Fort Smith.
RESEARCH SERVICES
Researchers are strongly encouraged to contact the Museum Curator by phone (479) 783 - 7841 or FAX (479) 783 - 3244 to discuss subjects and / or research needs in advance of setting an appointment. Preliminary subject searches of one hour or less are available to patrons at no extra charge. Extended research services by mail are available at a fee of $25.00 per hour. Copies of archival material (pending condition) can be purchased at $.10 cents per page.
The museum conducts no extensive genealogical research. Genealogists should contact the Fort Smith Public Library Genealogy Department at (479) 783 - 0229.
PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTIONS
Reprints of many museum images are available in a range of sizes and prices. Standard black and white 8 x 10s are $15.00 per image plus $3.00 shipping & handling. Pending condition, some images may also be scanned by researchers via appointment for a service/pull fee of $10.00 per visit (excluding other research fees). Photographic subjects include:

Views of Architecture and Businesses along Garrison Avenue / downtown Fort Smith
Minor League Baseball (1930s - 1940s) - Fort Smith Giants (New York Giants)
