Volunteer Opportunities
The Fort Smith Museum of History offers many opportunities for personal development and satisfaction in the volunteer corps. Archives, collections care, carpenter's shop, tour leadership, soda fountain sales, gift shop sales and greeting visitors all require the services of dedicated people. We encourage each volunteer give us two to four hours a week to keep their skills polished and to allow us to plan ahead, but training and work schedules are flexible. We are especially interested in the services of younger volunteers (ages 14 and up) who can help other children with learning activities in the Museum. Older youth can also be trained in more advanced areas.

What if the Museum earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Well, now we can!
GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results.
Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter the Fort Smith Museum of History as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word!
